Halloween is not for the faint of heart here in New Hampshire. With especially spooky attractions popping up all over the state … your nightmares are sure to be haunted this season. Check out one of these spooky thrills if you dare… just be ready to scream!

Fright Kingdom, Nashua
Often called one of the scariest haunted houses in all of New England, Fright Kingdom thrills guests with five frightening attractions!  The five haunts, Apocalypse Z, Bloodmare Manor, Psycho Circus, Grim and The Abandoned are not for the faint of heart. The extreme attention to detail, movie-quality sets, costumes and lights, and an especially creepy crew, are likely petrify even the heartiest of souls. Fright Kingdom is a timed event, and all visitors are encouraged to buy tickets online in advance.

Harvest of Haunts, Candia
Hunting for a Halloween haunting to experience with your kids and not quite ready for a heart-stopping scare?  Head to Charmingfare Farm’s Harvest of Haunts. The horse-drawn wagon ride takes Halloween revelers on a trail decorated for Halloween and by the witch in the woods before arriving at a clearing. Once there a storyteller greets guests and shares a spooky story. Families are welcome to visit the farm’s barnyard animals before or after their ride. Tickets should be bought online before arrival.

Haunted Overload, Lee
Venture to Demeritt Hill Farm this fall to explore the unique and elaborate Halloween displays that feature towering structures, giant creatures, and intricate details that create a stunning and immersive environment. Haunted Overload is an elaborate outdoor trail that embraces a dark and eerie atmosphere, drawing inspiration from folklore and local legends too.  Over the years the haunt has received a number of accolades and has been recognized nationally for being an exceptional haunted attraction.  Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets online in advance.

Nightmare New England, Litchfield
Halloween fans seeking adrenaline-pumping experiences and being scared in a controlled environment will find plenty of thrills and chills at Nightmare New England.  This event features a collection of haunted houses and attractions each with its own unique theme and terrifying element, including the new mind-mending Nightmare in 3D, the medical mishaps of Asylum 47, The Colony with its grit and gore, and their mile-long haunted hayride taking you into the deep dark depths of the woods. Visitors are encouraged to boy tickets online in advance.

Salisbury Woods Haunted Barn and Trail, Salisbury
This haunting Halloween experience takes place in the deep dark woods of Salisbury. The  attraction, in its 10th year, has evolved into a premier haunt attracting people from all over New England.  It’s been described as a mix of creepy combined with old-fashioned Halloween fun.  But don’t be fooled there are plenty of screen worthy elements and is not recommended for younger kids. The event started as a way to raise funds for a new playground for the local elementary school. Today it provides financial support to local education, arts and community organizations. Tickets can be bought online in advance of arrival.
