Andres Art Institute, (106 Route 13, Brookline) The largest outdoor sculpture park in New England is a unique exhibit that combines art and nature. There are miles and miles of trails and dozens and dozens of sculptures to explore. Artists come from all over the world to create the works of art that are placed on permanent display.
Barringer’s Cliffs and Collins Point, (Massabesic Lake, Auburn) A great loop trail that runs along side Massabesic Lake. The trail is just under three miles and is generally a fairly easy route. If you hike up to the cliffs, you’ll be rewarded with beautiful views overlooking the lake.
Backyard Brewery & Kitchen, (1211 S Mammoth Road, Manchester) Homemade craft beer and upscale comfort food are the specialty at this Granite State brewery. They’re menu reflects their very creative flair for food which pairs perfectly with whatever happens to be on tap.
Oak Hill Tower Trail, (292-342 Shaker Road, Concord) Hike where the locals hike! The Oak Hill Tower Trail is popular among residents. Just under 4 miles round trip, it’s considered moderately challenging. With a fire tower on top, enjoy some fantastic views of the surrounding area. There’s also a picnic table at the summit if you want to pack a lunch.
Canterbury Shaker Village, (288 Shaker Road, Canterbury) This national historic landmark is dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Canterbury Shakers. It’s considered one of the most intact and authentic surviving Shaker communities which includes 25 restored original Shaker buildings, 4 reconstructed Shaker buildings, and 700 acres of forests, gardens, and nature trails.
Richardson’s Farm, (170 Water Street, Boscawen) Richardson’s ice cream is 100% made from scratch on site, using heavy cream and milk from New Hampshire cows.
