From new restaurants and culinary offerings to new lodging properties scheduled to open in early 2024! Here’s a sampling of what’s new in New Hampshire.
What’s New - Dining & Restaurants
Common Man Roadside Market & Deli, Epsom
Opening in early 2024, this
Common Man Roadside Market & Deli will be the latest addition to the Common Man Family of Restaurants. The Epsom location will offer an open kitchen and cafe for made-to-order meals, seating for dining, fuel service, and a drive thru. The Common Man Roadside operates the popular Hooksett Welcome Centers on I-93, as well as markets & delis in Manchester and Plymouth, and The Common Man Roadside Millyard Restaurant & Cafe at the TRU Hotel in Manchester.
Hearth Food Garden, Portsmouth
Newly opened on the Seacoast,
Hearth Food Garden is a gathering place/ food emporium curating a diverse mix of fresh, handcrafted food and drink sourced from local farms, chefs and producers. Food choices for breakfast through dinner, enjoy the many lounging areas, and board games and of course food!
Norcross Place, North Conway
Opening early 2024, this Food Hall is a brand-new offering in the Village of North Conway. Located in the former Olympia Sports, the space is being re-imagined as a food hall with three distinct food and beverage options for visitors including Cheese Louise, Sap House Meadery, and Saco River Brewing Company. These options will bring a type of food and drink not currently offered in North Conway Village. The venue will offer roof/deck space, with outdoor seating and mountain views.
What’s New – Hotels & Resorts
Bluebird Sunapee, Newbury
Bluebird Sunapee is a 53-room hotel situated close to Mt Sunapee State Park on Lake Sunapee and adjacent to Mount Sunapee Ski Resort. Visitors can use this property as a base camp to take advantage of all the offerings in the region.
Cambria Hotel, North Conway
Scheduled to open later in 2024, the Cambria Hotel will be the latest lodging property to open in the Mt Washington Valley. The 3-story hotel will offer 97 rooms and is situated right in the heart of North Conway.
The Artisan Hotel at Tuscan Village, Salem
The
Artisan Hotel is a brand-new boutique hotel located in the heart of Salem’s Tuscan Village. The property features elegant and spacious accommodations with upscale amenities. Guests can enjoy access to the connected full-service restaurant, Tuscan Kitchen. The property also features Southern New Hampshire’s first rooftop bar – described as a “cool loungy restaurant in the sky.” Walkable amenities include village restaurants, shopping, events and live entertainment.
What’s New – Seasonal Attractions Updates
Attitash, Bartlett
Just in time for the upcoming season
Attitash Mountain unveils its newest lift: the Mountaineer. This brand new, 4-person high speed lift will cut the ride time to the summit by more than half – reducing the amount of time guests are on the lift, improve the flow of the base area, and increase uphill capacity.
Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway
Conway Scenic Railroad is rolling out a new offering: a dedicated cruise train that will serve as a shore excursion from Portland Maine to the White Mountains. Conway Scenic will take cruisers from Portland in their own motor coaches to Conway Scenic, where they will embark on a scenic 2.5-hour journey through Crawford Notch, through forest, across trestles, past waterfalls a ski resort and more. The railroad will offer hot-plated lunches in dome-car dining. In Crawford Notch passengers will return to the buses with a stop planned for shopping in North Conway, before making their way back to Portland.
Cranmore Mountain Resort, North Conway
Fairbank Lodge, the resort’s new base lodge and condominiums located at the base of
Cranmore Mountain is scheduled to open for the ’23-’24 winter season. The new lodge features 30,000 square feet of new day lodge space, along with 15, two-story lofted private residences on the upper levels. Day services include a new food pavilion, slopeside bar, restrooms, a café and retail shop.
Gunstock Mountain Resort, Gilford
Guests visiting
Gunstock this winter will notice major renovations following $6 million in investments around the resort among those include the transformation of the Stockade Lodge at the base of the mountain from a grab and go cafeteria to a full-service restaurant with a new 18-seat U-shaped cocktail bar and expanded kitchen; the Panorama Pub at the summit has been enlarged to increase the serving area and seating capacity to accommodate more guests.
Ice Castles, North Woodstock
When it opens for its 11th season this winter,
Ice Castles will feature a brand-new castle design which will include new ice sculptures. Popular features built into the 25-foot tall LED illuminated fortress include slides, caverns, tunnels and crawl spaces. The ice bar that was introduced last year will also return, along with horse-drawn wagon rides, a light walk and a winter fairy village.
Loon Mountain Resort, Lincoln
Expansion plans at
Loon’s South Peak are scheduled to be open for the ’23-’24 winter season. The expansion includes 30+ acres of new trails and tree skiing as well as a new four-place chairlift, and fully automated snowmaking.
Riverwalk Resort, Lincoln
The much anticipated expansion of
Riverwalk Resort is set to be completed in the spring of 2024. Riverwalk has earned a reputation for luxury accommodations in the majestic White Mountains. This next phase of development includes 66 additional luxury units, an expansion of the on-site winery Seven Birches (the new space will span 10,000 square feet over two stories), a new day spa, a Grand Ballroom, and the unveiling of a second restaurant Rhythm Tap & Grille, an upscale American grille.
Story Land, Glen
When it opens for its 70th season,
Story Land will be unveiling new additions to the water play area. The all-new Moo Lagoon is a reimagined farm-themed area with waterslides, a water play area, new retail location, bath house and food and beverage. The water play area will include a multi-level sprayground featuring interactive water features and a zero-depth spray zone. The new attraction will be a fully immersive experience offering visitors a chance to cool off and refresh after a day of play at the theme park.
