With the scent of brewing cider in the air, apple orchards in full bloom and the sight of foliage dappled across historic cities, you won’t want to miss fall on New Hampshire’s seacoast. Pack a bag and hit the road – fall fun is just around the corner!

Check out New Hampshire’s estimated peak foliage dates to time your trip just right, or stay updated on conditions via weekly foliage reports.

  1. North Country Hard Cider Co. (38 Littleworth Road, Dover) This cider company brews hard cider without any preservatives, sulfites, or additives so the authentic apple flavor shines through in each batch. Visit the tasting room to sample their ten ciders on tap and find your favorite!

  2. Haunted Overload (20 Orchard Way, Lee) Visit one of the top haunted Halloween attractions in the world… if you dare. Each year the DeMeritt Hill Farm transforms into a chilling location with movie-quality sets in an authentic farm setting that haunt even the bravest souls. Visit at night or come during the day with the family to avoid the live actors and frights that come out after dark.

  3. Coppal House Farm Corn Maze (118 North River Road, Lee) Explore this year’s praying mantis themed corn maze at Coppal House Farm. Trivia signs all about praying mantises will guide you through the maze, but for those up for a real challenge, visit the maze on public night maze nights and find your way out in the dark!

  4. Flag Hill Distillery & Winery (297 North River Road, Lee) Fall is a fantastic time to visit the state’s largest vineyard and New Hampshire’s first distillery. Flag Hill offers wine and spirit tastings daily in their tasting room and tours upon advance request!

  5. Holy Grail Restaurant & Pub (64 Main Street, Epping) Stop into NH’s voted Best Irish Pub set in a uniquely converted church with stained glass windows and a lofted seating section. If the beautiful venue doesn’t sell you, the unbelievable food and spirits will!

  6. Stratham Hill Park (270 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham) Stratham Hill Park is one of the best places to get an aerial view of the seacoast foliage in the fall. Walking trails lead to a climbable fire tower that offers sweeping views of the coast; pack a picnic and enjoy an afternoon or simply climb to the views!

  7. The Carriage House (2263 Ocean Blvd, Rye) It wouldn’t be a trip through the seacoast without stopping to admire the Atlantic. The Carriage House restaurant is a great place to do it, where a delicious menu of upscale American cuisine and creative cocktails are served with a seaside view.
