- Sherman Farm (2679 E Conway Road, Center Conway) A pumpkin patch, petting area, and a 12-acre corn maze are just some of the family farm fun that awaits you this fall at Sherman Farm. Their corn maze is an annual tradition in the Mt Washington Valley, complete with “Cornundrums” to solve that help visitors find their way out!
- Echo Lake State Park (68 Echo Lake Road, North Conway) Crisp, cool autumn days are the perfect time to hit the trails at Echo Lake State Park. Take the scenic loop around the lake or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous take the trail up to Cathedral Ledge State Park for sweeping views of the Saco River Valley.
- North Conway’s Moose Safari (40 Norcross Circle, North Conway) All aboard the tour bus for a chance to see one of NH’s majestic moose. These nighttime tours take the roads less traveled around the White Mountain National Forest to see a member of New Hampshire’s moose population. Success rate of seeing one is very high, because their drivers have so much experience seeking them out.
- Ledge Brewing Company (15 Town Hall Road, Intervale) What could be better than sipping locally brewed craft beer while taking in the seasonal scenery of the Presidential Range? The Ledge specializes in beer that pairs perfect with outdoor adventure, so get outside and explore the Mt Washington Valley then kick back at the Ledge with a cold one!
- Alpine Garden Winery (1257 US-302, Bartlett) Alpine Garden is a boutique winery located in the heart of the Mt Washington Valley. Stop by this fall to sample the natural wines and ciders they’re producing from apples and grapes grown right on site.
- Honeymoon Bridge (16 Main Street, Jackson) Head to the village of Jackson to see the historic Honeymoon Bridge! One of the most photographed covered bridges in the state, this red and white one lane bridge is not to be missed for a photo fall photo opp!
- Return of the Pumpkin People (Jackson) While you’re in Jackson be sure to take some time to explore the pumpkin people that are decorating town. This is a favorite fall foliage tradition in the Mt Washington Valley, this year marks the 38th year the pumpkin people have returned. Take the self-guided tour around town to see the pumpkins created by local business owners and residents.
- Mt Washington Auto Road (Route 16, Pinkham Notch) Head to the highest peak in the Northeast for a view of the foliage like no other! Drive yourself up the eight-mile Auto Road or leave the driving to one of the expert tour guides and hear the unique history of Mt Washington on the way up. While you’re there consider getting out into the forest to see the foliage, Great Glen Trails is right on site, and offers 28 miles of trails that include carriage roads and single track too!
